Directions

Getting to MCC is a surprisingly straightforward task. Whether you are joining us on foot, by pedal, on public transport or in your car, it can be easily reached from anywhere in the Dublin area.

By Car

From Dublin or the East by car.

Maynooth is reached by taking the M4 which intersects at the M50 at the Liffey Valley roundabout. Follow the M4 out past Lucan and Leixlip until the turn off for Maynooth. Turn right on to the Straffan Road which leads you directly down on to the Main St. of Maynooth. The MCC Resource Centre is above the Permanent TSB at the traffic lights. The Post-Primary school in which we meet on Sundays is on the Moyglare Road. At the traffic lights between the Straffan Road and the Main St., turn left. At the next lights turn right. Go straight through the next lights and the Post-Primary school is on your left after 200 metres.

From Kilcock of the West by car.

Come in on the Kilcock road with the NUI Maynooth campus on your left and St. Patrick’s on your right. At the traffic lights, take a left. The Post-Primar school is on your left after 200 metres. For the MCC Resource Centre, take a right and follow the road out on to Maynooth Main St. The office is above the Permanent TSB on the left hand side, half way up the street.

By public transport

Via train.

Trains run regularly from the city centre to Maynooth. After disembarking, cross the pedestrian foot bridge over the canal. Continue around the harbour to your left. The tree lined avenue you are on intersects with Maynooth Main St. after about 300 metres. To get to the Post-Primary school where we meet on a Sunday morning, cross the Main St. and keep walking. The Manor Mills shopping centre will be on your left hand side. Keep walking straight past the lights and the Post Primary school will be on your left hand side. To reach the MCC Resource Centre, turn right and keep going until the pedestrian traffic lights at the Bank Of Ireland. Cross the road there and the office is just to your right, above the Permanent TSB.

Via bus.

The 66 and 67a bus routes regularly service Maynooth from the city centre. The 66 drops you off on Main St. directly across for our Resource Centre. The 67a drops you off on the Straffan Road, a quick walk from the Main St., right across from the office. The Post-Primary school is a five minute walk from the Main St. Walk to the bottom of the street where you meet a crossroads. Turn right and keep walking straight past the Manor Mills shopping centre on your left. Keep going straight and within a minute or two the Post-Primary school will come into view on your left.
